Heating pressure is the force of water circulation in your radiators or underfloor heating.
On your gas boiler, this is reflected through a pressure gauge or on the digital display.
The pressure should be between 1 and 1.5 bar to optimize the use of your boiler and avoid calling a plumber for unnecessary repairs.
Do not panic if your pressure varies by a few millibars. Yes, as your radiators heat up, the volume of water increases and your pressure gauge will rise slightly. It will drop back down when the heating stops.
If you have an ELM LEBLANC, SAUNIER DUVAL, FRISQUET, CHAUFFOTEAUX, CHAPPEE, or DE DIETRICH type boiler, this applies to you.
However, if your pressure exceeds three bars, the component that manages overpressure is faulty.
The 3-bar safety valve will open and your pressure will constantly be unstable!
Remember to report this to our heating technicians during the annual maintenance if this occurs. They will be able to fix the problem!
